In next week’s episodes of EastEnders, Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) is set to make an enemy of evil Carl White (Daniel Coonan) by interfering when he arranges some dodgy deals…
So when Shirley mysteriously disappears, we’ll be left wondering if he’s got rid of her for good!
The drama begins when a panicked Ian (Adam Woodyatt) – who Carl has blackmailed into lying to the police that he saw Max Branning tampering with the brakes on Carl’s car – arrives at The B&B to warn Carl that Shirley’s putting the pieces together over their lie.
Carl tells him he’ll sort it, and that night, Carl arrives at The Arches to find Shirley waiting for him. Shirley then threatens Carl and informs him that she sent Jay (Jamie Borthwick) and Dexter (Khali Best) packing, and did likewise with the dodgy motors Carl brought to the garage…
Carl tells Shirley that he warned her to stay out of his business, and adds that seeing as she hasn’t, he’s going to have to deal with her in his own way. As Carl closes The Arches door, we’ll be left wondering what he has planned for Shirley.
Later in the week, after finding Shirley’s beloved sunglasses in The Vic, Jean (Gillian Wright) tries to track her down, while across the Square, Ian’s mind goes into overdrive when he hears Shirley left the B&B suddenly and without paying her rent. He confronts Carl, who menacingly tells him he’s “solved” the problem, and forcefully reminds Ian that keeping his own mouth shut could extend his life expectancy.
Meanwhile, Jean leaves Shirley a voice mail, however, we’ll see Shirley’s phone ringing in amongst the bin bags in the market, and also discarded are her jacket and a picture of her and Hev.
Has Carl killed her?
